How to connect my Xbox 360 to my Att-Uverse Cable Box?

I tried connecting the Ethernet from the box to xbox, xbox to ethernet, and xbox and uverse box to att 2wire modem (disconnected because I switch to Uverse). all didnt work!|||If the cable box is a modem, connect the router to it and the X-Box to the router. If the cable box is a router, connect the X-Box to it. If the cable box is for TV, it has nothing to do with the internet. You can't use a modem with the cable box - if it's an internet box, it *is* a modem.
