Whats the color code for rj11 for att uverse?

An RJ11 connection is no different for U-Verse than with any other telephone wiring installation. The conductors are referred to as "tip" and "ring" or T %26amp; R. On an RJ11 jack, you will normally find red, green, yellow, and black wires attached to tie points. The incoming T lead goes to the green wire and the R lead goes to the red wire, although it ordinarily doesn't matter if you reverse them.

The yellow and black wires are used for the 2nd line of a two-line phone.

The color code on common inside wiring (consisting of 4 separate pairs), is...

Pair 1: T/R = Blue/Blue White

Pair 2: T/R = Orange/Orange White

Pair 3: T/R = Green/Green White

Pair 4: T/R = Brown/Brown White

If you're connecting an incoming U-Verse service (or any telephone service) to an RJ11 jack with such wire, you'd normally use Pair 1 connected to green/red on the jack. However, you could use Pairs 2, 3, or 4 if desired. In my home, my U-Verse enters on Pair 2, while Pair 1 in the same cable is the in-house trunking for my landline phones.
