Where is my hgtv and food network on att uverse?

Gone for now; the network distributor and the service provider are having a spat at your expense!

Can I hook up my x-box to my laptop computer that uses wireless from my att uverse?

Yes, you can. Connect your Xbox to your laptop using a crossover ethernet cable. Make sure its a crossover, and not a straight-through ethernet cable. Then, go into your Network Connection, right click your Wireless connection, go into Properties, and turn on Internet Connection Sharing (ICS). Finally, I think you have to give your Xbox a static ip address, because I don't think it will get one automatically. Assign in an ip address, subnet mask, and gateway address, along with dns servers. All the info you need to assign to the Xbox can be found on your laptop by going to Start %26gt; Run, typing cmd, hitting enter, then typing ipconfig /all.

ATT Uverse TV? Does it get watched on pc or on tv?

I heard there is a relativly new ATT tv service that goes thru a dsl line. Does it go onto your tv or can we only watch it on the computer? Does costs go up? How availible is it, and is it in the Chicago area yet? (I'm tired of my cable bill going up so much! Maybe this is a better cheaper alternative to cable?!)|||Uverse is viewed on your TV with a special box. Although it does use a form of DSL, it's not the same as your basic internet DSL. The system uses fiber-optics to carry the data to a big box out on the street somewhere in your neighborhood, then copper lines to your house. They usually bundle internet service with it.

Don't expect it to be a lot cheaper than cable. In my area, it's around $60/month for the most limited service. But that does include internet.|||The Uverse feed is viewed on your TV. The split the incoming dsl line and and then decode the Uverse content using something akin to a cable box. The output of that box is then sent to your tv.|||Hi

From what you say about (dsi) Check if your TV supports internet (broadband), I'm not sure of availability or cost in your area, sorry ;%26gt;(

How can I add a TV to ATT Uverse?

I have ATT Uverse and have a total of 4 TV's connected (no HD service) and then the internet connection as well. Over a year ago the install tech said that 4 TV's was pushing the limit as far as splitting the signal goes, but I never had any problems until now. So suddenly this week all of the TVs would freeze up randomly; resetting the set-top boxes and gateway didn't help. So I disconnected one of the TVs from the splitter and that stopped the freezing problem, but now I have a TV we can't watch and a set-top box we are paying $7 per month for that I can't use. So my question is, is there some type of signal booster available to allow U-verse over four or five TV's in the same house? Are there better quality splitters out there that would preserve the signal better?|||call in to get some tests on your line done...it will help determine whether or not your connection is working properly inside and outside of your home...after that...a tech may be needed, of which, any reputable company, if deemed on their end, will send a tech out for free...|||From what i know about it, there really isnt a "signal booster" that i know of. If I were you, i would switch from Uverse, and go with Tivo or Direct TV with DVR. I personally dont like or suggest Uverse. Just a suggestion.

Can i view files in usb flash drive in att uverse cable box?

No. The USB on those boxes serves no purpose.

Does wifi on dsi cost money i have 2wire att uverse?

i had to enable it so i can put my wifi on the dsi but i don't know if it will cost money, and it was password protected but i took the pass thing down|||If you have a wireless router, then you shouldn't have to pay extra in order to use the Internet on your DSi.

How to configure VOIP router with ATT Uverse?

I have ATT Uverse cable, which has a router and modem together in one box they provide. In order to make Vonage work, I also have a Netgear splitter, with one ethernet cable going into my computer for internet access, and another going into my DLink vonage router for VOIP. The latter cannot be accessed from my computer at the usual 192.168.0.1 - this times out and cannot connect. Consequently, my DLink has no security settings and is an unsecured wireless access point. How can I access the DLink router to set up security/password protection? Thank you.|||Through your proxy server of course.

Me and my brother want to suscribe to att uverse internet but are not sure which plan we want, att says that?

to ensure optimal experience if one wants to watch youtube videos one should order a 50 or 55/60 dollar monthly plan to avoid having youtube videos stop and go, is att bluffing or not on this? i have a desktop and my brother has a laptop, if we want to get online with the same connection obviously this will require more bandwidth, so would it be worth it to pay more money for att's uverse internet rather than get their cheapest monthly? what about the installation, should we do it ourselves or have an att technician do it for us? if we want to watch videos on youtube or do online gaming and its two computers to the same connection, what would be the best thing to do to avoid annoying latency?????????? can the broadband experts please tell us what to do........... THANKS.|||I would recommend a 6 or 12 mbps plan for two computers that stream videos often.

Is ATT Uverse's internet ALWAYS this bad?

I've had ATT Uverse for a little over a month now, and it is honestly the most horribly unstable piece of garbage I've ever been privy to. I'm an online gamer, and I've been hitting pings of upwards to 4000ms. I'm not a super involved "I want the fastest frame rates possible yar!", but it does suck when you've died 30 seconds ago, but you're still up and running.

Anyways, my question is, has anyone else had this problem, and been able to fix it? I've changed the channel and power settings on my modem, but they don't really seem to work. Any advice would be great, thanks!|||I have the same problem and i am thinking to switching to Time warner by the way what game do you play? I play Mohaa and Swbf2 (medal of honor allied assault) and (Star wars battle front 2) Been getting high pings and stuff it also shutted down my entire tv,internet, phone. Tried reconnecting the entire thing and called the service man nothing soooooooooo better go with somthing else

Does anyone else have ATT UVERSE? do you like the service?

just wondering if it's just me, but seems like I'm counting down the last months of my 2 year contract with them. I cannot wait to take my business elsewhere. There hasn't been a day since having uverse that the tv doesn't freeze, tv shows don't record, and/or the system needs rebooting. I would love to know that others are sharing my pain. Please tell me I'm not the only one. I know that no cable company is perfect, but what I've had to experience with ATT is ridiculous.|||i havent thought of it but you are right the same stuff happens to me. I still like u-verse because it usually records, but when it does not i get mad.

How To Change IP Address with ATT Uverse 2Wire Router?

On my old ATT/SBC 2wire router all I had to do was unplug the power for for a min and doing so would give me a different IP address. Now I have the ATT Uverse 2wire Router which is a CABLE driven Router that doubles for providing both cable TV and Internet service and simply unlugging it or hitting the reset button does NOT result in changing my IP address!

I've called ATT spoke with Tech services Level 1 and level 2... basically, they were not helpfull.

ANYONE have any solutions on how to get a different IP address (other than paying for a Proxy Service)?

THANKS!!|||With DSL and cable, whenever your modem connects to the internet it pulls an IP from a pool of IPs. Turning the modem off for a bit and then reconnecting it will log you back in with your ISP, and you will pull another IP from the pool.|||did you find how to do this?

Question related with ATT Uverse?

I m quite curious why the wire that go from the outside of your house to the att uverse modem phone line port consist of only 2 mini wire ( green and white). an example if you look at the RJ45 cable you see red, blue , orange etc....

I asked the technician why he cut the rest of the mini wire inside that RJ45 and leave only 2 mini wire left connect to the modem. He told me 2 mini wire is enough to support TV and internet.

so I m curious why he does that way? and does anyone have that kind of set up like i do?|||It is because from the outside to your modem inside, it is still DSL over a phone line. A phone line still needs just one pair.

Just got ATT uverse and have a few questions....?

Well first off, I have a Panasonic viera 46" plasma or lcd....also my ATT bundle is u200.

With uverse normal shows like on nbc come in with that annoying black bar on top and bottom of the actually show. Can I fix that to be full screen?

Second, if I buy an hdmi cord can I watch hd channels? Or how does the hdmi cable work? I'm new to that concept I've been just sticking to the regular channels and stuff like that. Any feed back would be helpful.|||First, check the specs on your HDTV to see if it has a 720p or 1080p display. Once you find that, you need to set your U-Verse box to match it. Use the U-Verse remote, go to MENU %26gt; OPTIONS %26gt; SYSTEM OPTIONS %26gt; ASPECT RATIO. Select and save 720p if your set has a 720p screen. Select 1080i if your set has a 1080p screen.

That should take care of the black bars on HD channels IF you are paying for the HD option on U-Verse. You might still get then, mainly on the left and right, on non-HD channels.

The HDMI cable is the prime choice for connecting your HDTV to the U-Verse box (or any satellite or cable box). Highly recommended. And don't spend too much--the cheapest one you can find (about $10 at a local discount store, or $5 on line) will be fine.

What movie should my gril and i watch right now... ATT UVerse all channels?

all these movies are shwag|||Instead of a movie, since it's At%26amp;t U-verse, I suggest you watch cable series, they give awesome entertainment.

1.) Spartacus- Gods of the Arena = OMG! This is so bloody sexy (literally). I like the historical imagination of the writer. The series is weaved by such lust and gore. If you seek a series of mature nature, you will like it. (Starz)

2.) Shameless = More modern and adapted from UK entertainment. It's an hilarious ghetto bunch, a family whose members are all screwed up yet unite in saving each other's troubles. I enjoy watching it because it gives me an idea how street-life is like. (Showtime)

Upcoming series like Borgias (Starz) and Camelot (Showtime) looks cool too.

Hope this helps. Enjoy!

Vonage with ATT Uverse?

I have a Vonage Linksys WRTP54G Device that I am using with the ATT Uverse 2 Wire Router. I have to reset my Vonage router to keep my phone service working. Previously I had Cable internet through Time Warner and with the same Vonage Device never had this issue for over 2 years. This only started when I went to Uverse. Does anyone know the correct method of connecting them together to make this combination work properly? Thanks in advance!|||Sounds like you are using a router behind a router.

Typically, the WRTP54G would connect directly to the cable or DSL modem. The Linksys is a Router + VoIP ATA.

But, if it is now behind a 2Wire Router, you may be experiencing port blocking by the 2Wire Router. In which case, you need to put the Linksys on a port of 2Wire that is set to DMZ (no ports blocked), or you find out how to configure the 2Wire (what model?) to port forward SIP ports required by the Linksys VoIP ATA WRTP54G.

Linksys ATA's use SIP ports 5060-5062 UDP and RTP ports in the 10,000-20,000 UDP range (typically 16384-16482 UDP). So, either connect the WRTP54G to the DMZ port of 2Wire Router, or port forward the above ports to be open for the WRTP54G.

VoIP won't work properly if the required SIP and RTP ports are blocked.|||You can make the changes Mr Voip suggested by going to http://gateway.2wire.net from a computer directly connected to your U-verse gateway. You will need the password that is on the sticker on the side of your gateway to adjust the firewall settings. (Assuming it wasn't changed. If the password doesn't work and you don't know the password, call 800 att 2020 and ask them to re set your password.)

Using ATT Uverse remote with Bose Cinemate Series II?

I have tried every code in the the uverse remote guide for Bose equipment and none of them will work with this system. Does anyone have a code that they know works. Please do not post all the codes in the book or tell me to make sure my equipment is working properly and to buy electrical testing equipment. Also I have called ATT and Bose and neither we any help on this. Bose told me to call the manufacturer of the remote and ATT said they dont know who makes it. Thank you in advance.|||Most of Bose remotes are RF style... Whereas "all in one"' types are mostly IR.

So I've heard you can convert Bose remotes to IR... But sounds like a pain, and I don't have an answer for you how to exactly do this.

Does anyone in Rosenberg Tx have ATT Uverse?

I think it's available there, but the operator I spoke to said it isn't available. Just wondering. Thanks|||First, to be clear I am not in Rosenberg...

I can say for sure UVerse is available in the Houston area.

However, like DSL, UVerse has range limits. So it is not enough for it to be available in your area, you must also be near enough to the equipment to be able to get service.

So it is possible that UVerse is available in Rosenberg, but just not at the house you were asking about.

Att uverse only got 1080i for hdtv resolution but I have a Mitsubishi DLP 1080p TV set?

I have att u-verse package and I have Mitsubishi 65'' dlp 1080p TV but uverse only have a 1080i resolution. does that mean I cant use the HD because att doesnt have 1080p resolution?

thanks in advance!|||The TV upconverts 1080i to 1080p.

The only source for 1080p at this point is a Blu-ray disc.|||The TV can show any resolution up to 1080P, including what the HD Uverse box offers.

Yes, you need to connect the PS3 to that TV, with HDMI, to get 1080P.|||Killzone 2 is the only PS3 game you need! Resistance 2 is not too shabby either

How do I hook up my playstation 2 to my att uverse dvr box?

The DVR only has outputs. So hooking it up will do nothing. It needs to be plugged into your tv. Why would you even want to run your PS2 through a dvr box. You wouldn't be able to record your gameplay.|||If you are wondering how to get it on the internet through the same line, then what you do is run out and get a switch and plug the incoming ethernet cable to one of the ports, then two more ethernet lines from the switch to the PS3 and the U-verse DVR. The U-verse DVR is just seen as another internet appliance to the modem.

You can get the cheapest router, Netgear 5-port 10/100 should work fine and shouldn't cost you more then $25. (Try tigerdirect.com)

As for audio/video, there is no way to hook it up through the box. I would just simply suggest that hooking it up directly to the television or through an A/V receiver are your only ways to get the a/v signal to the TV.|||Don't. Hook it up directly to your TV

ATT Uverse has sound but no picture?

I can watch dvds on the tv, but there is no picture while watching normal tv. After a while trying to get the picture on normal tv the sound turned off and the ATT logo came on the screen. Any solutions??|||You should probably reboot your set top box. The "soft" reboot is to press and hold down the power button on the box until you see green/blue/red dots on front of box, but no more than a few seconds. The "hard" reboot is to press down "the okay button", the "arrow down button" and the "power button" at the same time until you see the lights on the front of the box. The is the same procedure in restarting a computer with control/alt/delete buttons. The okay button and the arrow down button are located in the circular like dial on the front right side of the set top box (motorola model). The Set top box will reset itself and this may take minutes. See more instructions on att's uverse website. This happened to us and this resets the box, which is basically a computer.

ATT Uverse remote not working?

Alright so, everytime I turn on my tv, it goes to the "press OK to watch ATT Uverse" blue screen.

My tv is in a bedroom so it's not the main tv.

Whenever I push OK, the menu for my actual TV pops up. The menu button does the same. The tv, ATT button, and return to tv buttons do nothing. The volume and channel buttons don't work and the right arrow button turns the volume up (but nothing turns the volume down).

WHAT IS GOING ON?!

Can i record ps3 gameplay with a ATT Uverse DVR?

The answer is no, the long answer is --%26gt; To record video gameplay like you see ppl on youtube you will need a HD PVR or some sort of other capturing device like a capture card. There is tons of information on the internet to educate you about this. I would imagine that you need a short cut to get all the information you need. So i suggest you start here http://www.zimbio.com/Gamers+Buzz,+News+鈥?/a>

A real HD PVR will work with or without your computer. A capture card (internal or external) will require the use of your computer. There are many capture cards: Hauppauge, Black Magic, Dazzle, Escap, Ezcap, etc. There is only one real HD PVR. In my explanation I will chat about how to use this HD PVR.

The HD PVR comes with output and input on the rear, seen in this short video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NcAygrA-a鈥?/a> You will use those inputs and outputs to connect the HD PVR to your TV and Xbox 360. Let's imagine if you had the newelectronx hdpvr in your house. This is how you would use it.

1. Connect your HDTV or Standard TV to the HD PVR (Tristar mx hd pvr) from the rear. You see the component sockets, those are used to connect to your HDTV. The composite sockets are used to connect to your standard TV. You can also use the composite socket on your HDTV too. But it is recommended that you use the component sockets for better video quality. Connect the component sockets from the rear of the hd pvr (with the free cables provided) to your input component sockets on your HDTV.

2. Next you want to connect your xbox 360, playstation ps3, nintendo wii, or whatever to the rear of the hd pvr. Look on the video you will see the composite input for upconverting video. That is where you will connect the gaming console. Using the cables from your xbox connect the red, yellow, and white cables to input on the rear of the hd pvr.

3. power on your xbox 360, p3, or wii. power on the tristar mx hd pvr

4. press pal / ntsc button on the remote to set your areas tv type

5. if you are using a hdtv then i recommend that you setup the hd pvr. press set up on the remote and set the output of the hd pvr to 1080p for HD (hi-def).

6. press video input, you will see the xbox360, playstation ps3, or wii on the HDTV now

7. press record on the hd pvr

8. start playing your video game like normal and viola it will record every second to the internal hard drive of the hd pvr. with a 1TB hard you can never run out of space. Or you use 250GB hard drive, it works well too. You can also use an external hard drive and connect it to the hd pvr too, but it is not necessary in my opinion.

9. connect your computer, mac, notebook, or laptop to the hdpvr with the cables includes. now get the video off the hd pvr and place it on youtube.

10. if you don't want to place the videos on youtube you can play them directly from the hdpvr. look for the file on the hard drive. it will be named by default with the year, date, and time that you recorded it. you can rename it by pressing the rename button. once you find it press play. it will play your hdtv.

that is pretty much it and how easy it is to record from your xbox 360, playstation ps3, or wii. gameplay recording is fun and addictive, i hope my short explanation can help you out in this cool hobby. good luck!|||The AT%26amp;T U-verse DVR can only record televised programs.|||You sure can honey :DDDDDDDD

Internet/TV/Phone bundle (ATT Uverse)?

I am thinking of getting the ATT Uverse bundle (already have ATT Phone and internet) but I was wondering if the TV service for Uverse is via a satellite dish...or how does it work and is it worth it...I live in CT.

Thanks!|||The att u-verse tv is NOT a satellite dish -- we got rid of our dish to go with the product due to poor reception with the dish. the u-verse suite of services are delivered via Internet Protocol -- along with a wireless gateway for your house we were able to get rid of wireless routers and dsl modems and a lot of cords! we have the bundle with phone, internet and hdtv for 179 a month - this is every channel under the sun (u-400 package), unlimited phone minutes anywhere and the Pro speed internet -- with dish we were paying 130 for 200 channels plus phone and internet. so far we are happy with u-verse

ATT UVERSE COUPON CODE $300-$400?

Has anyone applied and received the Att uverse coupon advertised on http://www.rickscouponpicks.com/att-uverse-coupon-code and if so is it a straight cash back or a rewards savings?|||The way this actually works is like this: You apply for the services online through AT%26amp;T's website. After the services are installed for get information about a 200 dollar VISA giftcard. After two weeks of services(the day the tech comes out and installs to two weeks from that), go to att.com/rewardcenter and you can redeem your giftcard. The other 100-200 dollars off will be for signing up with certain services at the order. For example, you can get 30 dollars off your internet services for 6 months as long as you have TV and phone services also with U-Verse. They say that the code is 300-400 but that's a lie, you just get the 200 dollar VISA card and the dollars off your services for 6 months type deals. The AT%26amp;T website shows you all about it.

Direct tv or att uverse?

i have direct tv right now and my dad wants to switch to att uverse. which one is better? why?|||First, DirecTv only provides TV service. Except for a low speed direct-to-satellite Internet option available to some customers, they do not directly provide Internet service, nor telephone service. (If you get Internet and phone from them, they've contracted with third parties, which you can do yourself.)

With U-Verse you can have an integral package of TV, Internet, and digital phone, which might be what your dad is considering.

As to which is better for TV, you'll get arguments both ways. But all things considered, it was my judgment that U-Verse was the better value for services and cost, so that's the way I went. I have two close friends who made the switch from DirecTv to U-Verse, and they both say that they're paying a little less for equivalent services. All three of us would make the same switch again.|||att uverse.

Question about ATT UVERSE TV...is this cable tv?

Hi my house is very old and we do not have cable connection and i was wondering what is ATT UVERSE TV? how will it connect? is it a satellite dish or what? explain! thanks!|||ATT U-Verse is a different flavor of "cable" TV. ATT will have to run a line to your home. This is similar to getting a DSL line installed. There will need to be a visit from the ATT Technician, access to your home and they will leave a box behind for each TV set. I hope this helps.|||U-verse TV is delivered via IPTV from the head-end to the consumer's Total Home DVR or standard set-top box. U-verse uses H.264 (MPEG-4 AVC) encoding which compresses video more efficiently than the traditional MPEG-2 codec. Broadcast channels are distributed via IP multicast, allowing a single stream (channel) to be sent to any number of recipients. The system is also designed for individual unicasts for video on demand, central time shifting, start-over services and other programs desired by only one home at that particular time. The set-top box does not have a conventional tuner, but is an IP multicast client which requests the stream desired. In the IP multicast model, only the streams the customer uses are sent. The customer's connection need not have the capacity to carry all available channels simultaneously.

Whats the color code for rj11 for att uverse?

An RJ11 connection is no different for U-Verse than with any other telephone wiring installation. The conductors are referred to as "tip" and "ring" or T %26amp; R. On an RJ11 jack, you will normally find red, green, yellow, and black wires attached to tie points. The incoming T lead goes to the green wire and the R lead goes to the red wire, although it ordinarily doesn't matter if you reverse them.

The yellow and black wires are used for the 2nd line of a two-line phone.

The color code on common inside wiring (consisting of 4 separate pairs), is...

Pair 1: T/R = Blue/Blue White

Pair 2: T/R = Orange/Orange White

Pair 3: T/R = Green/Green White

Pair 4: T/R = Brown/Brown White

If you're connecting an incoming U-Verse service (or any telephone service) to an RJ11 jack with such wire, you'd normally use Pair 1 connected to green/red on the jack. However, you could use Pairs 2, 3, or 4 if desired. In my home, my U-Verse enters on Pair 2, while Pair 1 in the same cable is the in-house trunking for my landline phones.

Att Uverse Question?

I was wondering does Anyone work for ATT and can tell me when they plan on having Uverse Available in the Clinton Township Area. I keep checking back weekly and it's still not availlable yet? I know people that have it in Chesterfield Mi? It would be a great help because when I call they keep telling me they are unsure when it will be available. In Roseville they have a demo of it but yet don't have it where I live? Any help would be great.|||Unfortunately, it is very unlikely that the AT%26amp;T people will be able/willing to tell you when service will be available in your area. Why? Because if they tell you, they are in effect telling the cable company when they will be coming to town. This could be used to great advantage. (Imagine if you knew a major competitor was coming to town in 6 months. You could lower prices and put out a big advertising campaign a few days before the other guy becomes available. You could send your best customers coupons for free on demand movies that could be used next month (if they didn't switch that is). You could focus resources on fixing up the areas where you were about to have another player, and away from areas where you are 'safe'. etc etc)

There are some things you can look for, however. If you notice big tan AT%26amp;T boxes going up in your neighborhood, it is a good bet that UVerse will be available real soon.

Good Luck!|||I guess you have to wait until it becomes available .

Have patience.

Everytime I get on my treadmill and put the tv on, my att uverse freezes. Is this possible?

Yes it is.It may be interference from the treadmill either using too much power or from Electromagnetic interference. If the picture freezes for more than a minute it is most likely using too much power. If it stopping and starting every few seconds then it may be Electromagnetic interference.

You can call 1-800-288-2020 and ask for U-verse technical support and they may be able to schedule a tech to help you out with that.

Does anyone know what are the advantages of att's uverse high speed internet vs. their regular dsl service?

is att's uverse high speed internet more reliable than their regular dsl? what advantages does uverse have over comcast/earthlink cable high speed internet? can the internet experts please explain to me..............|||u-verse uses fiber optic as the back bone of its operation, then just like cable companies they use coax cables to your prem, the advantage is that you can upgrade to speeds of up 24mbps download depending on you available bandwidth. one thing to ask is before you change service is to make sure to ask how far away from the dslam you are( 3000ft is the max) the further you are the less speeds you will have available.

6mbps fiber optics Att uverse? Good or bad?

Well im getting att uverse because they're going to waive my cancellation fee for clear as well as direct tv, and I wont be under contract with them so if im not satisfied I can switch to comcast. So i was thinking ofswitching to ATT Uverse w/ att highspeed can iintegrate my current Y! Email to it?

Like 4 of us in the house have Basic or Mail Plus Emails, when we switch to Uverse that comes with ATT Highspeed DSL, can we ask them to convert or integrate all of our emails into the highspeed service so that they are all part of the package?|||Any AT%26amp;T new internet connection comes with a program called Trueswitch. Trueswitch allows you to import the address book and other contacts from any web-based email account. In addition, Trueswitch will send an email to everybody in your contacts list notifying that your email address has changed to the new AT%26amp;T domain. To complete the transition smoothly, Trueswitch will forward all emails from the old account into the new account for 30 days.

Y! email is a web based email, though; if you want to continue to use the old email adress, there is no reason to switch the email adress. Your new internet connection will be able to access Y! email the same way that the old one did.

The AT%26amp;T internet connection that comes along with U-verse does come with some AT%26amp;T customer exclusive software that allows you to have a fully customizable AT%26amp;T/Yahoo web browswer, Launchcast Plus, Norton Business Grade virus and malicious software protection, and, the key in your case, up to eleven email adresses with 2 gig of storage per adress.

To answer the question simply, you can use your web-based email adress that you already have; or, you could Trueswitch it over into an AT%26amp;T domain email adress that opens whenever you sign in to the AT%26amp;T customer exclusive web browser that comes with your AT%26amp;T internet connection.

Hope that answers your question.

Att uverse remote setup help?

I got Att uverse and I tried to program the remote so that I can control the tv on/off and volume and I figured it out but now when I put in numbers for a channel on uverse, it changes the Chanel on the tv instead. How can I change it back so I can watch different channels on uverse? (uverse only works on the tv Chanel 3 so I wouldn't ever need to change it)|||You may need to press the AT%26amp;T button at the top left of the remote to get it to control the U-verse cable box again.

If that does not work you can reset the remote and program it again.

2. While holding the AT%26amp;T button press and release OK then release the AT%26amp;T button

3. Press the numbers 900 ( The AT%26amp;T button should flash a few times)

can i put it in rice to draw the moisture out of the remote

thanks guys|||Yea your remote control is not going to work so you'll have to either buy a new one from store.att.net or call the help desk for u-verse and let them know that your remote is not responding to new batteries. That may sound wrong but they will mail you a new remote and you won't have to pay for it. Don't say anything about dropping it into coffee. Again just say that you were using it and it stopped working with some functions and you changed the batteries and it still only control the power and sound. The remote control can control the box completely with factory settings.

Connecting Vonage to ATT Uverse?

When I connect the Vonage adaptor to the ATT Uverse modem (RG) I am successful in getting phone service but the picture and audio on the TV freezes. Vonage cannot help me; ATT uverse cannot help me. I am so stressed. I don't know alot about computers. Can anyone help me?|||It sounds like there could be a 'Router behind Router' network configuration issue.

RBR occurs when you plug in a router into another router and both routers end up routing traffic on the network. This can cause various conflicts and abnormal behavior such as what you are describing.

When you plug-in the Vonage adapter to the Uverse [2-Wire] Router, the Uverse Router detects that the Vonage adapter is (effectively a) Router and then starts to assume the Vonage Router should be treated like the primary router.

What happens then is that all the traffic in the network that goes to the Uverse Router is then redirected to the Vonage Router (because it thinks the Vonage adapter should be routing the traffic instead). The Vonage Router does the only thing it can do and sends the traffic back to the Uverse Router with a virtual note saying I'm done routing and the traffic should go out to the Internet now.

So imagine being on a road and you reach an intersection (Router). You want to go straight, but there is a sign blocking the road saying you must detour by turning left. After you turn left you arrive at another intersection and there is another sign blocking the road, but this time it says you must make a U-Turn and go back to the first intersection. After you make the U-Tun you and go back, you can then turn left and continue down the road that you wanted to go down originally. This is effectively what's happening.

The problem here is not just that traffic is being unnecessarily detoured, but that QoS is also being stripped.

QoS is a mechanism which is used to prioritize traffic over other traffic. For instance, we can say that TV should have priority over email. Thus, it is not possible for email to interfere with the TV traffic because the TV will always be given 'right of way' at the 'intersection' (router) and the email traffic must wait patiently (for a few microseconds) until there is room (bandwidth) available for it to go through.

Imagine that QoS is a special pass which lets you drive in the express lane, and if you don't have the pass, you must drive on the regular busy road with everyone else. Now imagine arriving at the intersection in the scenario above and having to go through the detour. Now picture yourself arriving at the second Intersection and meeting a police officer. The officer says to you, 'give me your QoS pass to continue'. You must continue, so you have no choice but to give the officer your pass. Now you can continue to your destination, but you no longer have your pass and you must drive on the busy road with all the other cars.

That is what is happening with your TV service. The TV cars usually have a QoS express pass, but they are being stripped of the pass when they go through the detour through the Vonage adapter, so when they come out of the detour they are stuck in traffic on the busy road and ultimately the TV service cannot be delivered in time and the picture/audio freezes.

How do you correct this problem?

Try turning off both the Uverse Router and the Vonage adapter. Now plug-in the Vonage adapter (and be sure it is connected to the Uverse Router. After a few moments, plug-in/power-on the Uverse Router. If all goes well, the Uverse 2-Wire modem will detect the Vonage adapter as a standard network device rather than a Router, and there shouldn't be an RBR problems. The issue typically occurs when you plug the Vonage adapter in after the Uverse Router is already on and then the Uverse Router starts trying to give the Vonage adapter routing duties.

If this does not correct the problem, you may have to put the Vonage adapter in DMZ mode. This over-rides the 2Wire's RBR detection feature and among other things it may actually help improve call quality. You must refer to your operating manual or contact AT%26amp;T to find out to configure the Router to put the Vonage adapter on a DMZ because the instructions are too complicated to explain here.|||The other guy (Ben) gave you a very technical answer so it may confuse you although he is quite correct in what he said. Let me try to give you an answer in laymen term. I assume that you connect the Vonage adapter to the cable box (internet) and then the AT%26amp;T router sits in the middle between the Vonage adapter and the TV. So first power down both Vonage adapter and AT%26amp;T router. Then power up the Vonage adapter first and wait a few minutes for the messages on the LED that say that the connection is successful. Then power up the AT%26amp;T router. It should then negotiate with the Vonage adapter for addresses and then everything should work afterward.

Does anyone have att uverse?

I am thinking of changing from direct tv to att uverse. Is it better and less expensive? Already have internet with att, so maybe there are specials for signup. It just became available in my area.|||I have UVerse. UVerse has a good picture and is easy to use… It has some advantages over DirecTV

A) No issues when it rains

B) DVR is included

C) Watch or Record up to 4 shows at one time. (Two of those shows can be in HD)

D)Video On Demand… There are hundreds of shows, and if you get HBO (or the big packages that include HBO) you also get free HBO on demand. Lots of free moves %26amp; specials. (Same with Showtime on Demand, etc…)

E) All UVerse boxes are HD (You do have to sign up for HD to get the HD channels)

F) Watch your Flickr Photos on your TV.

There are some disadvantages:

A) Fewer HD channels. (What I would do is to go look at the UVerse web sight and look for channels that you watch or would watch then compare them with DirecTV. If there is an HD DirecTV channel you “gotta have” then you will want to take that into account. If there are, on the other hand, 10 channels that you never watch, or you don’t have HD, then it doesn’t really matter.)

B) Only one DVR. (Though AT%26amp;T says with Whole-Home-DVR which is “coming soon” you will be able to watch recordings from any set top box… cool when it comes. But not available yet.)

As for price, go look at http://uverse.att.com and see what the latest special is for the channels you want. Internet comes with UVerse, so be sure to include the price of your internet service when you compare. (prices change so often, and given they ask for your state, probably vary by where you live. For example right now in Texas if you order U200,U300,or U400 you get a month free and $200 cash back… Who knows what the special will be where you live…)

Happy Viewing!|||I love "On Demand" It has movies, shows without commercials, they always add new stuff and you can watch movies where you left off. its like having a video store in your house. You should get it.

I have att uverse and i cannot find the cw channel at all what channel is it?

i have searched and searched the web and i cannot seem to find any information on what channel it is on and when if ever that AT%26amp;T uverse will have it?|||This is a familiar question here, and it applies to all providers, not just AT%26amp;T.

The CW Network is not a cable channel in the usual sense. It's an association of local over-the-air broadcast stations. AT%26amp;T and all the others carry the local CW station as part of its local station package IF there is a local CW station in the area. If there is no over-the-air CW broadcast station close by, it won't appear on your AT%26amp;T (or whatever) channel list.

To see if you have a CW broadcast station near you, enter your Zip code in the link below. If the closest one you find is not in your general television market area, then AT%26amp;T (etc.) won't carry it.

You *might* be able to get a CW station with a very good over-the-air antenna, if its broadcast tower is within range of your home.

How do I use my DVD player with my ATT Uverse remote?

Im in san francisco bay area. has anybody switched from comcast to att uverse? what was the difference?

any difference in the internet, phone, or tv? what about the price?|||I live in Walnut Creek (east bay) and switched a few months ago.

First the service. I live in an older home, so I assume this is on my end. The service is sketchy, although it's usually working fine, some days it like to lose connection (tv and internet, phone is on a different line) for a few minutes multiple times. When working, the internet is fine, plus the router comes with a built in wireless connection. The TV comes with plenty of features, and lots of channels. Pretty reliable, but sometimes the box (for the TV) gets a little messed up. A simple reset fixes it though. The phone is the same as any other service, nothing special.

Prices. I switched because it was going to be cheaper with AT%26amp;T over Comcast. But because there is a senior in my house, the phone was servery discounted. Without that, the prices are almost the same. Expect about $100 a month for a fairly decent plan. Maybe $150 for a nice one.

Customer Service. Great, they walk you through any problems and are friendly. They cater you.

I think this is about all. Personally, I suggest switching.

Good Luck!

Getting att uverse,do they use existing coax cable thats already in the house?

To hook up tv, do they run fiber optic to house? how is it done.Is uverse reliable? Any info will help|||Short Answer: Stay with your current Inet and Cable provider, Uverse costs on average $175 or more, plus to get rid of the server and set it back to the way it was it costs $150.

Long Answer: Yes they use existing coax cables that they cut without regard to any lines in the house, beyond that they will ignore any room that does not have a TV, and just set the rooms the technicians want to set up.

Gripe: Bad customer service, bad equipment, bad cable. Stay with whatever it is you have or use another more popular group in your area, don't risk it.|||The might use your coax, or run Ethernet cable in your home.

They might run fiber to the home and Ethernet and phone inside, or fiber to the neighborhood, and DSL to the home.

What channel can I watch Kate and William's wedding on with ATT uverse?

Whatever channel CNN is on. They are covering it.|||It will be at 11:30 in the morning in the UK which is very early in the US, so unless you want to wake up early, you won't be able to watch it. Now, I'm sure throughout the day there will be endless coverage of it on every channel.|||You can go to http://www.watch-royal-wedding.com

What is the code for a motorola Att uverse tv receiver?

There is no code for it, as such. The code you likely want is for the remote you have. Read its guide, or ask the remote manufacturer.

Right now, only the Xbox-360 can be used outside of their boxes to access their service. You need to call and ask though.

ATT Uverse cable box flashing red and green with red x in the middle of TV screen.?

I think that the power in the house went out last night. When we woke up this morning, the cable box was flashing red and green. when we tried to turn the TV on, all we could see was a red X in the middle of the screen.

We have a bundled package (and obviously) the internet works.

Does anyone have any ideas on hw to fix it without having to call ATT?

Would be MUCH appreciated!

Thanks =)|||The first thing they told me was to reboot the system by pushing the little tv screen shaped button in for five seconds. That didn't work, so they said to unplug the power to the box for 15 seconds. Just reach behind the box and pull out the power cord,it's easier than getting to the plug, at least in our house.

After all that didn't work, they sent a guy out, that did the same thing, then pronounced the box dead and installed a new one. We lost all our recorded shows btw.

At least if you did all this before you call, maybe they will just send the guy out.

Good luck.|||try restarting it or turn it off leave it off for a while then plug it back in

Compared to Comcast Xfinity internet how good is Uverse from ATT?

My family is likely switching to Uverse and I was wondering how it is. I play a lot of online video games and they lag a lot, so Im hoping the wireless will be more reliable|||I made the move from Comcast to U-Verse a year ago and would do it again in a minute. However, I opted for the triple play, TV + Internet + Phone. All 3 are great, but I don't do online games, so I'm doing fine with just the 6 mb/s download speed.

If a blistering fast download speed is important to you, choose the fastest available on U-Verse in your area, probably 18 or 24 mb/s.

How do I watch programs recorded on my Att uverse dvr from my computer?

How to use a dvd/combo unit with att uverse?

I had the att uverse install a week ago and when I tried to use my dvd unit the movies would not come on and this problem was also on the other 2 tv's (only one tv has a dvr recorder)|||AT%26amp;T’s UVerse box has no pass-through. If your TV has multiple inputs the AT%26amp;T installer probably connected your DVD to another set of inputs. See if your original TV remote has a button called “input” or “TV/Video” or something similar and try switching the inputs around with the DVD player on. (Keep in mind you will need to switch back to the original setting to watch UVerse tv again.)

If your TV does not have multiple inputs (or the AT%26amp;T installer just failed to connect your DVD back up) it is possible that your DVD player is not connected to your TV. Look on the back of your DVD player for cables connected to the unit, then see if they are connected to your TV. If there are no cables connected between the DVD and TV, then you have to swap the cables to watch your DVD player. If you do this make careful note of where the cables from the UVerse are plugged into. (or better yet, label them with stickers or tape before you ever unplug any of them). Swapping cables is a headache, ask a friend or a person at an electronics store (like Radio Shack, or BestBuy) for help in setting up a switcher box.

Good luck and happy TV viewing!

Which is better ATT Uverse (U-Verse) or DIRECTV?

I am currently with DIRECTV and have been for years. Trying to decide if I should go with ATT Uverse and if so, what would I be losing (missing out on) if I choose ATT U-VERSE.|||For many years both ATT U-verse and DirecTV have been providing great entertainment to subscribers through their television services and the products they offer. Both have very attractive pricing and features, but here are some of the differences that may help you make your decision.

Technology:

DirecTV: Smart Dish Installed to your Home or Apartment

ATT: Coaxial cable connected to the node.

Programming and Pricing:

DirecTV: Offers 285 in ultimate program package, With 4 basic programming packages.

ATT: Delivers over 390 Channels, with 6 basic programming packages.

*DirecTV has the main advantage over ATT U-verse though due to their pricing.

Services

DirecTV offers services like Pay-Per-View, video on Demand, A La Carte, Digital phone, customer care, Internet facility (Both DSL and Satellite Internet).

*They are more or less the same, however DirecTV comes out on top because they offer Satellite Internet.

Features:

Both provide features that help subscribers to search programming quickly to see incoming calls with name and number; to lock unsuitable channels from kids; to skip commercials on recorded shows; to pause and rewind live programming.

* Once again DirecTV is one step ahead offering a pioneer feature known as 3D (i.e. Three Dimension movies) DirecTV is the first Satellite TV to add 3D feature among the home entertainment television industry.

In Conclusion it is whatever service offerst the programming and pricing you are looking for. If you visit Connect Your Home, they can help you determine which provider would suit you best. They are a national retailer for both of these products.

Visit www.connectyourhome.com or call (888)566-3979.|||I have U-Verse, and between your two options, I'd stick with U-Verse. The installation is simple, the TV picture quality and features are excellent, the Internet service is better than what I used to have with Comcast cable, and the telephone service is, well, it's AT%26amp;T.

I have two friends who are former DirecTv customers who have also switched to U-Verse. The consensus among all 3 of us is better service for a little less money.

DirecTv may offer you Internet and phone service, but they don't provide it themselves, except for a specialized (and slow) optional direct-to-satellite link. They contract with a 3rd party for DSL and landline phone service, and you may do better by checking that out yourself with your local phone company.

How do I connect my Att Uverse DVR to my surround sound?

If your dvr has an hdmi output and the surround sound has an input, connect the dvr to go thru the surround sound to the tv.

If you can't do this, just connect a digital or a/v cable from the audio out of the tv to the input of the surround sound.

More ATT Uverse TV Channels to go?

We don't have Hallmark because ATT Uverse was unable to negotiate a "fair" price for it. Now we are being threatened with losing DIY,HGTV,Cooking, and Food channels at the end of October. Notice anything? All channels that women watch. No sports channels. Do you think we stand a chance of getting a discount?|||It's not just women. I'm an old guy who does all the home improvement, repairs, and cooking in my house, and those are some of my go-to channels. I'm a big fan and supporter of U-verse, but if channels like that disappear, I'm going back to the antenna, landline phone, and DSL.

AT%26amp;T, are you reading this?

-----------------

Followup per the other answer. I wouldn't give up yet. I just found that AT%26amp;T and other carriers are obligated to make announcements like that when no agreement is reached on a contract renewal with less than 30 days to go. That doesn't mean that they will not reach agreement.

However, we *did* lose the Hallmark channel that way, so anything is possible.

As to other carriers like satellite, there's no guarantee that they won't do the same thing for the same reason.

The good news: the owners of those channels can't stay in business if they don't have service providers carrying them. They'll be motivated to reach agreement with AT%26amp;T or any other provider if at all possible. Failure to do so will hurt the bottom line of both sides.|||Bad news! I'm getting Uverse connected on Wed. These aren't my favorite channels but they are on my regular channels. I hate Comcast and thought ATT was the answer. I guess not.

Can we trust a dish in the windy city area? Wisconsin vacations in the North woods have proven that it doesn't work on cloudy or windy days...what to do?

What is a remote code for att uverse element 32 1080p?

heres the code list make sure u use internet explorer the other browsers wont work!!!!!

Is att uverse advanced tv really better than cable and why?

Uverse has a lot of features and I know many people who absolutely love their service. If the installer knows what they're doing and do a good job, you will be very happy with the U verse service. Uverse is a network using fiber optic lines. In most neighborhoods the Fiber optic lines run to the main phone box for the neigborhood, from there it is put on your phone line. The picture is clearer than most cable/satellite providers. you can use the picture in picture mode automatically. Other features people like are that you can record up to 4 programs at once. One of the most popular features is that the modem also serves as a wireless router. The down side to the service is you need a box for every tv you want to watch and installs can take up to 5-8 hours.|||I have att uverse and I persoanlly really like it. The only problem I is since it runs through phone lines and uses a gateway, sometimes the guide can get sluggish. But in general its cheaper than comcast for the same service and the modem/gateway is all wireless.

Can I watch PPV purchases on all of my ATT Uverse Tv's?

I ordered UFC 128, but I did it on a separate box, will I be able to watch it on another box?|||Yes, any U-Verse receiver or DVR in the house will work PPV.|||Yes.

If not, just watch it here free: http://wrm-sports.com

Cancel Comcast switch to Att Uverse Question?

I called At%26amp;T but I don't have my Boyfriends Info(since it is in his name) to get any answers. Cheers!|||wait till after the install. You want to make sure everything is up and running smooth before you cancel. I had dish before i switched to Comcast. I cancelled the day before Comcast came out. The guy came out and said it was to hot to go in the attic and had to reschedule. I was without cable for about a week before they came out and actually installed it.|||I would wait until everything is hooked up and running before cancelling your old service. In my experience, everything usually works out fine, however, sometimes during an install a tech can run into line issues, distance issues or other errors preventing them to provide service.

What's the * number you dial yo check your voicemail from home on att uverse?

You can use the arrows or the number pad o the remote to type the name of the show you are looking for.

It will bring up the show on the right side of the screen and you can press OK on it for more information.

What channel number is the cw on att uverse?

I live in Cleveland , Ohio. Thanks so much !|||CW is an over-the-air broadcast network, like Fox, ABC, etc., so the channel number in your area will depend on which local broadcast station is the local CW affiliate. The link below seems to suggest your nearest CW station is WBNX in Akron. U-Verse in Cleveland may or may not have that station in its listing; you'll have to look for it.

Because it's an over-the-air station, it will be listed among the HD channels in your U-Verse guide, if they have it at all. Just look for WBNX among the HD channels. Since the station is outside of the Cleveland area, it may not be there.

What is the remote code for Samsung hd tv for the ATT uverse remote control?

Just had ATT uverse installed and now i don't get sound thru my Sony receiver. Help?

Just had ATT uverse installed and now i don't get sound thru my Sony receiver. I have to use the tv's speakers to get sound. I even ran rca cables between the uvers box and receiver and still no sound. When i play a dvd the sound comes thru my receiver as it is supposed to even without the rca cables. The att installer is stumped. Any suggestions? Thanks|||Is the Sony receiver a home theater in a box? (with built-in DVD player?)

Then, you need to switch the receiver to "AUX" when watching TV through the Uverse box.

If not, make sure you select the appropriate input.

If the att box has digital audio out , use it to get 5,1 surround sound - instead of just stereo through the rca cables.

Was there a mass wireless problem with ATT Uverse?

On April 4th my wireless internet lost all connections. I don't know what the problem is as there appears to be nothing wrong with my wired internet, but I was talking around and a few others had the same problem I am having. Like I said, the only problem I am having is my wireless internet, my phone, cable and wired internet is working just fine.|||It's not likely that this problem has anything to do with the AT%26amp;T U-Verse network. Your wireless Internet, as you know, is a link between your laptop and your Residential Gateway (the U-Verse modem-router). In that sense, it's not too different from a wired connection to your computer; the signal just gets to the RG a different way.

Your problem almost certainly has to be something unique to your installation--something between your RG and your computer.. If you know of others having similar problems, that's not unusual, and it's equally common with all systems, not just U-Verse.

I thought i heard somewhere that you can watch att uverse on xbox 360?

I need to access my included free ATT wifi using my Dell Axim X51v and sometimes I with friends with notebooks who want to access the net when I am with them at Starbucks. How can I do that and what is the software I need and password/username!?

What are the codes for ATT uverse remote code for a Dynex TV?

I have a Dynex tv/DVD combo the cable guy connected it and it works to turn on and off the tv and cable box except after I turn it on I can change the channels all I want, but once I find something to watch and decide to change it after watching, I cannot change the channel (yes it is on for the cable box not tv) so I rebooted the cable box and it worked to change the channels then it happened again where I can't change the channels again. Please help.|||There doesn't seem to be any Dynex codes in the U-verse code list (link below). But in reading your question, it's unclear whether you are trying to change channels on your TV or on the U-Verse receiver. In a U-Verse installation, you do not change channels on the TV, only on the U-verse receiver, and the U-verse remote will definitely do it.

If you have any problem doing that, first press the AT%26amp;T button in the upper left corner of the remote. That sets the remote to operate the U-verse receiver instead of the TV or something else. That could solve your problem.

I currently have the att uverse 24d/3u package. When will faster speeds become available?

I've done a search and can not find this information. I ask because comcast is going to be getting a speed boost in the next year, and google is about to release their gigabit connection...when will att jump on the wagon and offer faster speeds? They can afford to do so, question is at what point in time?

Any information other than "im not sure" will be helpful.|||It depends on your U-Verse connection, whether it's via the common telephone cable to your residence, or a direct fiberoptic link.

If it's the latter, the theoretical maximum speed is immense. If it's the former, 24 mb/s may be the max you could expect. What they've done is adapted a system originally installed for a single voice circuit (a phone line) to pass high speed data, which requires far more bandwidth. The fact that it works at all on your phone line is quite remarkable.

i tried every code in the guide but none work. help please.|||Contact At%26amp;t!! They will tell you how to do it.|||You can try to use the Automatic search function that this remote has.

You can press and hold the TV button at the top of the remote while holding it tap the OK button in the middle. Let go of OK then TV. You should see the four red lights flash at the top of the remote. After they flash press 922 then tap the play button until you see the TV turn on/off. Quickly let go and the Enter or Zoom button that is below the 9 button. Press TV then Power to test it out. If it does not turn the TV back on/off then you can try the process again.

If the remote refuses to turn the TV on or off with the process you can try to replace the batteries and try again. If it still does not turn the TV on or off it may be that the U-verse remote does not have a code for that TV.

What wiring does ATT UVerse TV use?

I currently am wanting to get ATT UVerse TV only. I already have a fiber internet connection from a local provider. That internet connection uses my existing Cat5 cable within the home. So, how does the ATT UVerse TV signal get into my home? I also have dish network right now that I think uses the coax in my home.|||AT%26amp;T uses a system called IPTV, which when you choose a channel to watch or record, the box asks for that channel to be sent to your house over the Fiber/DSL internet connection.

The box will conntect with ethernet or coax cable (using a network on coax system) to the DSL/Fiber termination unit.

I have ATT Uverse my phone tv wireless internet all go through a gateway modem. I am getting interference?

from a ham radio operator directly behind me. Is there anything that can be done to eliminate this interference.|||Is this person really a ham radio operator, or a CB operator running illegal power. Ham operators apply proper engineering practices to avoid interference. CB operators have no knowlege or care of such practices.

If he is a ham, simply making contact with him would be fin, ashe'd surely be happy to help. A CBer would not try to help you.

How do I get my samsung soundbar to be compatible to my att uverse remote?

Uverse comes standard with an IR remote (direct line of site inferred). If you ordered an RF remote to control your Uverse set top box then chances are you can not control you Sound Bar with the Uverse remote.

Now, if your Uverse remote is IR then you will need to teach (or aka: learn) the Samsung Sound Bar IR codes into your Uverse remote. You need to consult your Uverse remote users manual to discover how to get into Uverse remote programming and your need to consult your Samsung Sound Bar users guide to learn how to get into setup as well.

If you TV is Samsung and you are sucessful your remote will control both the TV speakers and your sound bar; therefore, you'd want to go into the Samsung TV settings/audio and disable your tv speakers. If your TV isn't Samsung then disregard this last paragraph.

If you want to understand IR %26amp; RF remotes a little better then go here: http://www.allabouthomeelectronics.com

Can i hook up att uverse cable to my newer tv without the receiver.?

i was wondering if their is anyway i can hookup my ATT uverse cable that comes through a phone line and inserted into a coax cable that goes into the ATT receiver directly to my newer tv that a lot of hook ups on it including computer hook up, hdtv, coax,A/Video Cables, firmware optical port, component hookups anyway is their anyway i can hook it in to my tv directly without the receiver and still change channels, eliminating 1 box.|||No, I install Uverse and you have to have a box per tv... trying to connect to another box and creating a mirror can cause the box to fry.|||No

Each TV needs its own set-top box.

How to find a WPA passphrase for ATT uverse?

Im trying to hook up a wireless printer and I have the SSID but I have no idea where to find the WPA and it stared out on the security page? Any ideas?|||When you configured your router you set the security for it...

If you forgot it, you will need to logon to the router (following the instructions in the manual that came with it) to view the current settings...

If all else fails, there is usually a reset switch on the router that will reset it to "factory default" settings... Since the default usually has security setting turned OFF, you will not need any security code at all, but should reset it as soon as possible to prevent someone hijacking it from you!

Also, are you sure it is set for WPA and not WEP? See the attached reference about settings, since it says the default setting for that router is WEP! Again, logging on to the router with an existing attached PC is the best means of viewing the current settings!

Another thing to try:

If you have a two wire uverse router, the WPA information is located on the bottom front of the router. The WPA is found underneath the router's serial number. If your router is mounted to a basement wall, don't worry. You can slide the router off of the mounting screws so that you have access to the bottom of the router box. Flip the router over, write down the WPA number and enter into the printer.

Finally you can call ATT customer support to assist!|||the U-VERSE 2wire RESIDENTIAL GATEWAY or modem router, has a sticker bellow it, if it is standing upright tthe sticker is located on it side.

2wire doesnt use WPA key but "WEP key"

WPA is more complicated coz it has letters combined with number to form a code

but WEP key is only plain 10 digit #

|||in adition the tech representatives from uverse usually change the WEP key to your phone number, just ask them to do it for you, and it's helpful for you not to forget it your wep key again!it's customised!you can call ATT-U-VERSE tech representatives at this number 18002882020

|||I'm assuming you have the same type of hardware I'm familiar with (that's from AT%26amp;T, not some third party). Look on the bottom/side of your router, there should be a series of ten numbers with brackets on both sides, or it should say something like wireless keycode.

How do i get rid of parental controls? I have att uverse and my rents blocked anything rated r or unrated?

i got rid of the blocks for like a week because the cable box got messed up but it reset itself and now its back to normal. anyone who can figure out how to get past the parental controls is my hero!!!!!|||Well you shouldn't be doing that because your parents did it for a reason. Buuuuut you can make the box go through a hard reboot. This is how it's done: On the box there is a power button and also some arrows and an Ok button on the right. Your going to press and how the Power button, the Down arrow and the Ok button all at the same time. After about 7 seconds let go of Power but keep the Down arrow and Ok held down for about 15 more seconds. This will send the box through a few screens, with one gear and then two gears. It's gonna take the whole thing about 10-15 minutes, but it will remove all the settings on that box including parental controls. Have fun.

Why does my att uverse dvr record only part of my program?

I have an hour show set to record everyday. Occasionally, only part of the show records. How can I fix that?|||It would help to know what part of the program is consistently missing. The first few minutes? The last few minutes? Something else?

As the other answer suggests, you can modify the start/stop times in increments of 5 minutes. It's part of the recording setup menu.|||Set it to start 5 minutes early and stop 5 minutes late.
