um well yeah everytime i turn it on and do everything it says well i only get litk ehtrough the first step theres 5 bars , only 3 turn green if you can help or something ?|||"U-Verse modem?" Are you talking about the U-Verse residential gateway (modem-router)? If so, I don't know what "bars" you're referring to--it doesn't have any.
If you're talking about some other modem, it's not U-Verse.
You might update your question with the make and model number of your modem for a better answer.
